Forward Collision-Avoidance
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
Including Pedestrian, Cyclist, Junction-Touring and Direct-Oncoming Detection the standard safety innovation detects rapid closing distances to vehicles and pedestrians, or cyclists in your path. If a potential forward collision is detected, audible and visual warning notifications will alert the driver. If the driver doesn't react to avoid impact, the system can apply emergency braking under certain conditions.*
*Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) is designed to detect vehicles, pedestrians or cyclists that are directly in front of the vehicle. FCA will not detect all vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists or other objects. FCA will not work on winding or hilly roads, during certain weather conditions such as rain, snow, fog and any other times of limited visibility. FCA initiates full braking at speeds between 10 and 75 km/h (vehicle detection), 10 and 65 km/h (pedestrian detection) or 10 and 65 km/h (cyclist detection). FCA will not detect all vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists under certain conditions. See Owner’s Manual for detailed descriptions of example conditions in which FCA may not detect a vehicle, pedestrian or cyclist. FCA is not a substitute for safe driving. Always check your surroundings when driving. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations. Image is for illustration only.
Adaptive Cruise Control
Adaptive Cruise Control with Traffic Stop & Go
The standard Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system takes basic cruise control to the next level of convenience. Set your pre-determined speed and distance to the vehicle ahead and ACC will automatically adjust your speed to maintain the set distance. The system will even operate in stop-and-go traffic, bringing the vehicle to a complete stop when necessary and then resuming automatically.*
*Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with traffic stop and go is not a collision avoidance or warning device. ACC is for highway use only and should not be used in poor weather, heavy or varying traffic, or on winding or slippery roads. Driver remains responsible to slow or stop the vehicle to avoid a collision. Acceleration after the vehicle comes to a complete stop will only occur when the vehicle has been stopped for less than three seconds. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations. Image is for illustration only.
Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance
Standard Blind-Spot Collision Warning
Standard Blind-Spot Collision Warning not only uses radar to detect when a vehicle is in the driver's blind spot, but will also help avoid a collision by gently applying brake power on the opposite tire to help deter an unsafe lane change.*
*Never rely completely on Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) and be sure to use proper lane changing procedures. BCW engages at 30 km/h. BCW will not detect every object or vehicle and will not prevent accidents. Always look over your shoulder and use your mirrors to confirm clearance. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations.
Blind View Monitor
Blind View Monitor
The available, confidence-inspiring Blind View Monitor streams a live visual of your blind spot directly in the gauge cluster to provide you with added perspective.*
*Blind View Monitor (BVM) assists the driver in changing lanes by providing a live view of the blind spots on either side of the vehicle and an audible alert if another vehicle is detected. Turn signal must be activated and other system limitations apply. Do not rely exclusively on BVM. It is the driver’s responsibility to be aware of surroundings and ensure they are clear before changing lanes or directions. See Owner’s Manual for more information.
Driver Attention Warning
Standard Driver Attention Warning
Designed to detect the onset of driver fatigue, this standard system will monitor driver input and issue a visual and audible alert if fatigue is sensed, suggesting a driving break.*
*Driver Attention Warning (DAW) is only a notification system and will not influence the direction or speed of the vehicle. DAW will not prevent accidents. DAW does not replace attentive and safe driving. Always ensure that you pay careful attention while driving. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations.
High Beam Assist
Standard High Beam Assist
Using the front-mounted camera and light detection technology, High Beam Assist provides an extra level of convenience by automatically switching between high and low beams when traffic is detected ahead.
Highway Driving Assist
Standard Highway Driving Assist
Standard Highway Driving Assist, working in conjunction with Lane Following Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control with traffic stop and go, conveniently helps you keep to the speed limit by adjusting your set cruise control speed as the speed limit changes based on GPS and highway data.*
*Highway Driving Assist (HDA), when used in conjunction with Lane Following Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control with traffic stop and go, is for highway use only and can help keep the vehicle centred in its lane while maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle ahead only when the lane markings are clearly visible on the road. HDA will reduce cruise control set speed as the vehicle approaches a curve in the highway. HDA should not be used in poor weather, heavy or varying traffic or on winding or slippery roads. HDA will not work under all circumstances and on all highways and will not prevent loss of control. Driver remains responsible to slow or stop the vehicle to avoid a collision. For HDA to maintain the posted speed limit of a highway, the system must be set to the exact speed limit. Only select provincial and territorial highways will apply to this feature of the system. Driver remains at all times responsible for determining the correct speed limit and to abide by such speed limits, including in situations in which a speed limit may be altered, but such change in speed limit is not recognized by the navigation system, such as in the cases of reduced speeds in construction zones or where posted speed limits have been recently increased or decreased. Driver remains responsible for controlling the vehicle to avoid a collision or other accidents. Driver is responsible for maintaining the data of the navigation system up-to-date. HDA will only fully function when the navigation map data is available for the section of highway that is being driven on. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations.
Lane Keeping Assist
Standard Lane Keeping Assist
Start drifting outside of your lane without signalling and this standard system is designed to inform you with audible and visual cues. If no action is taken, Lane Keeping Assist can apply corrective steering assistance to help keep the vehicle within the lane markings.*
*Lane Keeping Assist operates when vehicle speed exceeds 60 km/h and only when the lane markings are clearly visible on the road and detected by the system. It will not prevent loss of control. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations.
Lane Following Assist
Lane Following Assist
Using the frontview camera to detect lane markers on the road, this standard feature assists the driver's steering to help keep the vehicle centred inside the lane.*
*Lane Following Assist (LFA) can help keep the vehicle centred in its lane only when the lane markings are clearly visible on the road. Lane Following Assist will not work under all circumstances and will not prevent loss of control. LFA is a supplemental assist, and does not replace the need for extreme care and attention by the driver. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations. Image is for illustration only.
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance
Standard Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist
When reversing out of areas with low visibility, this standard system warns the driver if a vehicle approaches from either side. It can also apply the brakes automatically under certain conditions if no action is taken.
*Never rely exclusively on Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist; it is not a substitute for attentive driving or the driver using the brakes to avoid a collision. Always look over your shoulder and use your mirrors to confirm rear clearance. There are limitations to the function, detection, range and clarity of the system. The system may not detect every vehicle and may not avoid every collision. This system does not detect stationary objects. Vehicle must be in reverse and has to be travelling at 7 km/h or less. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations. Image is for illustration only.
Rear Occupant Alert
Standard Rear Occupant Alert
As the engine is turned off, a visual warning in the instrument cluster and an audible alert remind you to check the rear seats before exiting with this standard feature.
*When the vehicle is parked and the engine has been turned off, the Rear Occupant Alert (ROA) can help to alert the driver if the rear door(s) have been opened at any point after the vehicle was unlocked at the beginning of the journey. Upon turning the engine off, ROA will provide an audible alert and a visual alert on the instrument cluster. ROA is not a substitute for driver attentiveness. Always make sure you check rear seats before exiting the vehicle. Do not solely rely on ROA to determine if rear seats are empty. Never leave a child unattended in a vehicle. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations. Image is for illustration only.
Safe Exit Warning
Standard Safe Exit Warning
When a vehicle approaching from behind in the adjacent lane is detected, this standard feature warns passengers with an audible alert to help prevent them from stepping out onto the road when it is dangerous.
*When the vehicle is parked, Safe Exit Warning (SEW) can alert occupants planning to exit the vehicle when a vehicle is approaching from behind. SEW does not prevent occupants from exiting. SEW may not detect every vehicle and may not avoid an accident. SEW is not a substitute for attentive operation of the vehicle. Always monitor the vehicle’s surroundings before any passengers exit the vehicle. SEW operates for approximately 3 minutes after ignition is turned off, unless doors are locked, at which time it turns off. See Owner’s Manual for important details and limitations. Image is for illustration only.
